WIP: Aladdin’s room


Aladdin’s Room is a 3D interior environment built from scratch in Maya, telling the story of Aladdin in a steampunk setting.

The space was blocked out and then populated using custom props. A pre-lighting was made to better visualize the final result while the assets were being developed.

The texturing was mostly done in photoshop for the wood textures and carpets. The copper material, along with the steel and leather, were made using procedural texturing in Maya.

The lighting was made to give the room a strong visual identity, using warm key light from the openings and controlled fill lights to shape forms and guide the composition.
